EPD convictions in July
Three of the convictions were under the Air Pollution Control Ordinance, two were under the Noise Control Ordinance, two were under the Public Cleansing and Prevention of Nuisances Regulation, 21 were under the Waste Disposal Ordinance and four were under the Water Pollution Control Ordinance.
A company was fined $24,000, which was the heaviest fine in July, for importing controlled waste without a permit.
