Director General David Cheng-Wei Wu and Mrs. Wu, together with colleagues and OCAC Commissioner Shirley Chen, attended the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival Gala at the invitation of Mr. Paul Huang, President of the Association of Overseas Taiwan Alumni in Australia.
DG Wu expressed his delight in joining everyone to celebrate the 114th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and to gather with the Alumni during this festive Mid-Autumn season.
Taiwan has overcome countless challenges and continues to shine in the fields of democracy and freedom, technological innovation, cultural creativity, and humanitarian assistance. Taiwan is not only a beacon of democracy in Asia but also an important partner in upholding the universal values of freedom and human rights around the world.
Tonight’s gathering is not only a celebration but also a time of gratitude and reunion. DG Wu thanked everyone for their longstanding support for TECO in Sydney and for community activities. We wish Taiwan continued prosperity & peace, and our friendship everlasting.
