Hong Kong International Legal Talents Training Academy organises Shanghai Foreign-Related Adjudication Talent Training Course in Shanghai
Mr Lam said in his video speech that under the principle of “one country, two systems”, Hong Kong is the only region in the country implementing common law, and is the world’s unique bilingual common law jurisdiction using both Chinese and English as official languages. He expressed the hope that the participants have gained a deeper understanding of the differences between the common law and civil law systems, strengthening exchanges and interactions on Hong Kong’s common law and Mainland laws. In his speech, Mr Jia also affirmed the benefits of the training course to the foreign-related adjudication talent from Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta Region, and expressed his wish to continue collaboration efforts to organise such activities on a regular basis.Issued at HKT 18:14
