Tailor-made meals meet patient needs

     The main kitchen at Kowloon Hospital prepares over 4 000 meals daily for inpatients and two nearby hospitals. When designing menus, it takes into consideration patients’ nutritional needs and swallowing abilities through dietary assessments.
 
     News.gov.hk spoke to a representative of the Hospital Authority’s Kowloon Central Cluster to learn about the daily operation of the kitchen, while a speech therapist shared how their professional advice can help when planning menus.
