Cluster of Influenza A cases in Kowloon Hospital
Eight patients (aged 69 to 97) in a male extended care ward have presented with symptoms of fever or respiratory symptoms since July 22. Appropriate viral tests were arranged for the patients, and their test results were positive for Influenza A. One patient is currently hospitalised at Queen Elizabeth Hospital for other medical needs. One patient is in serious condition due to his underlying illness. The remaining six patients are in stable condition.Issued at HKT 19:30
